About Ron
Welcome to Little Blues Traveling Zoo!
My name is Ron and I started all this animal fun and craziness in 2020 and re-discovered my passion for animals again. I have always loved animals since my first dog King came along when I was 3 years old, we grew up together and he became my best friend. I was able to have many different pets growing up and they all hold a special place in my heart. After Renee and I raised our 3 daughters we purchased land to build a house and that gave me the opportunity to grow my farm. I started out with chickens, which is the gateway animal so be careful if you bring some home, and quickly added goats, alpacas, sheep, mini horses, Kunekune pigs, Royal Palm turkeys, Flemish Giant rabbits, and mini cows. My daughter Irene joined me in 2022 and she manages all aspects of Little Blues and tries her best to keep me in line. I am so blessed to have Irene, Jorden, and my wife Renee helping me, I couldn't do this without them. Our mission is to entertain and educate kids and adults alike with our amazing farm animals, I hope we get a chance to see you at an event soon! |
About Renee
Hi! My name is Renee and I'm a goat addict.
For my day job I am the owner of In the Moment Boutique in Lindstrom. Ron, Irene, and Jorden do most of the farm and zoo work, but I'm the back up when extra hands are needed. My favorite part of living on the farm is sitting on the picnic table in the pasture and having all the goats sit with me. I also enjoy our porch looking over the pasture and watching the animals play. |
About Irene
Hi! I’m Ron and Renee’s daughter, Irene. I’ve always been a huge animal lover and love my job at Little Blues.
I started out loving horses as a kid and never quite outgrew it. I bought my first horse when I was 15 after getting a job as a dish washer and still have her 10 years later! I knew I wanted to do something with animals and people so I graduated with my degree in 2022 in Agriculture Education from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. I enjoy using my knowledge to teach kids and adults about animals! I took over the coordinating and booking starting in 2023 and you’re very likely to see me at any of our events. My favorite animal on the farm is Oscar the sheep! But I of course love them all and love sharing them with people. I am so excited to see where Little Blues goes in the coming years and am so proud of the work we’ve done so far! |
About Jorden
Hi, I’m Jorden! Along with Irene, you’ll typically see me at our events!
A little bit about me is that I grew up in a small town in Iowa. When I was little I would spend every weekend with my dad out working with our horses. When I was older and had a horse of my own I spent every free minute I had with my horse on my grandma’s farm. So I pursued a degree in Equine Science from North Dakota State University and graduated in 2021. When I needed a new pasture for my horse, Ron and Renee were kind enough to take her in. Not even a year later, I followed her up to Minnesota and I’ve been with Little Blue’s since! Irene and I have been friends since high school so I get to hang with a friend and animals every day and call it work! If you asked me who my favorite petting zoo animal is I would tell you that Ohana is my favorite sheep and Snoopy is my favorite goat, but don’t tell Dolly that or she’ll get jealous! |
